John is a seasoned attorney with a distinguished career spanning over two  decades in both public service and private legal practice. He holds a Bachelor of Science in  Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University and earned his Juris Doctorate  from South Texas College of Law in 1999. 

John has served as the Uvalde County Attorney since 2002, where he has built a  reputation for integrity, legal acumen, and dedication to the community. Alongside his  public service, he has maintained a thriving private practice since 2000, focusing on real  estate law, wills and probate, and business entity formation. 

In 2015, John expanded his professional reach by acquiring Garner Abstract & Land  Co. and Ranchers Title in Uvalde, Texas. These ventures allow him to provide  comprehensive title and land services, further supporting the legal and property needs of  his clients. 

In January 2024, John joined Eggleston King Davis in Weatherford, Texas, as a Senior  Attorney, where he continues to offer strategic legal counsel and representation across a  broad range of practice areas.
